Fast times, skinny ties, leg warmers, MTV, new wave, rubik cube, garbage pail kids, Who shot JR, E.T., Yuppies, Dweebs, Preppies, He-Man, She-Ra, dudes, dudettees, mullets, mousse, and material girls....
I just loved growing up in the 1980's!
That's why I'm so EXCITED for the local Berks Community New Years Eve Celebration this year,

We are also putting on a Medevil Feast on New Years Day, complete with Simple Costumes for the Kids and my Husband and I, and my eldest son is going to read a speech for the "Procession of the Boar's Head!" Lol! ( really a small honey-ham carved to look like a boars head) and Roasted Pheasant Legs(chicken legs!) There will be lot's of other period-accurate(as closely as possible) foods and desserts and drinks, and I really think the kids and all their cousins and friends will have a blast! So, we are excited for that, too
I'll post pics for y'all! XOXO'S

Andrea Bocelli's POR TI VOLARE; This is Beautiful- I Can't Understand The Words, But I Have No Problem Assigning My Own-
This sonnota is so soulful, so emotional- in a gutteral, base way- that this sonnet could be the theme song for
a period of heartbreak, or deep saddness over any loss. I don't know what the lyrics say, but I imagine that they are about losing a loved one- a very close, intimate relationship, familial like a brother or sister or a spouse or even a child--
I imagine he sings about how much he loves them and how much he will miss them, and how he knows that they are in a better place- with God in Heaven- but how much he will miss them here on Earth; unable to make any more new memories with them- but chershing all the already accumulated memories with that person in the heart.
I love this song!! The man is blind, too, so that makes it all the more amazing- I love to see a person overcome their disabilities- that's what GOD can do for us- I overcame my childhood and rose above my raising thanks to God alone and His grace,
and I love to see the stories of others HE HAS SET FREE,TOO! Rejoicing with you, Andrea- xoxo's
Eating Breakfast Helped Me Lose 6 Lbs.
Check out this link for the "magical product" that helped me lose 6 Lbs. in just one month, by- believe it or not- 'eating
breakfast.' .... fill out and mail in the form by 12/30/08 for a FREEBIE related to this post,
Okay!
http://www.healthcentral.com/nutrition/ensure/benefits-last-all-day.html
Yes, what the research in Food & Medicine say's is really true--
Eating breakfast does seem to make a huge difference in the success, or failure, of our
weight-loss efforts.
I don't think there's anything magic in the breakfast, whether you eat it or drink it.
I think the benefit is that, if you do a small, reasonable breakfast then you won'r
be as likely to hit up Starbucks (or, if your more like me, Wawa) for a super-creamy,
sugar- loaded Caffine Bomb and/or hit up the snack machine at work before Lunch.
I was advised (by my Family Dr.) to 'Drink My Breakfast' since I assured him that I
would never eat it, as I do not ever eat before 1pm unless I have not slept all night.
I just do not get hungry in the morning. I will wat something small when I feel my
blood sugar waning, in other words, when I start to feel sick because I haven't
eaten all morning (light headed and a bit naseus, need to lay down, if really bad I
would see Haley's Comets.) I agreed to drink an Ensure every weekday morning-
at his reccomendation- and see if it helped. It did.
It helped me stop drinking 6 cups of coffee every morning between 6 and 10 a.m.-
drinking it replaced 3 coffee's for me, so I went down to 6-which was less acid in my
stomach and led to less anxiety over one particularily drama-creating lady at work (go figure,)
and I also stopped hitting up the snack machine on my 19:30/11a.m. break --because sipping down
that large cup o' Ensure and Ice (don't even try to drink that stuff warm, gawwwwwg-) was taking
me alll llllmorning, and by then I would be happy to have a nice, juicy, fresh, palate cleansing
apple.
The Vanilla is the most tolerable if you cannot get your hands on the Chocolate.
And ALWAY'S over Ice and with a Straw.
Try it and see if it won;t help you change your habits, and then even help you lose some pounds.
A VERY welcome bonus for most of us women:)
As I said, I even my Anxiety Symptoms dealing with a difficult co-worker( I would have sharp stomach pains whenever she showed up to start her shift, and her complaining about the overnight staff-which she often targeted on us, since we were Leads, and my pulse would raise,) waned over a week or so, because I was drinking less coffee as a consequence of spending the entire second half of my morning forcing this whole can of cold Ensure down (with a straw of course, lol
It can't hurt to try it!
There is a coupon for a FREE 6 pk. of the stuff to be delivered to your home for your sampling pleasure- or, in my case, just pure commitment. Lol.

My New Favorite Show on TV
Is REDISCOVERED. I love me some Osmonds
-Did you see Road Trip? My God, I saw it only to see those parts with Donny Osmand.OMG!
He makes me wet my pants, I swear. NO, not in THAT way
My New Second Favorite Show is ABC's 'The List.' VERY CLOSE second
Dude, the host is hilarious. And I love me some funny-hot Australian dudes.
And Ben Lyon's is funny as hell. Can I say hell? Any show that has Ben Lyon's on it,
even if for but a moment, is cool with ME.
The rest of ABC's shows suck. Except for Jimmy Kimmell Live, Supernanny and Deseperate Housewives, which I only
started watching a couple of months ago and I wish I had watched sooner becausee it doesn't
suck as bad as I thought it would. At all. My fave housewife is Lynette Scavo----
And they should just cancel Leno and Letterman, they are so 90's. It is the time of Jimmy.
Or bring me back Arsenio Hall, Dam You!!!
I just don't wanna see Perez. Dude, I love you man- still, you can be flambouyant. I'm not the drag-queen fan.
You make me uncomfortable with that stuff.

(Now, I have to add THIS DISCLAIMER HERE: Now, don't send me hate mail/comments Ladies, if you are the pro-gay militant-fight-for-the-cause type ladies and guys--- I have my rights too and I may say that you make me uncomphy if you are famboyant or overly militant, and besides you might call me an anti-gay, bible-thumping fight-for-keeping-up-the-discrimination type and then think that's Ok to say, but what I say here isn't- which would just be hypocritical on your part, wouldn't it? And presuming- I don't try and control anyone, just don't feel compelled to say it makes me comfortable when it doesn't. AND that's not discrimination, so if your stamping mad that I said you make me uncomfortable- the kindest thing I can say is, grow up and get over it. Not everone will be comfortable with you.)
And On to the rest of my post---
ABC's The List:
The Dancing with the Stars chick doing a segment ? Okay, yeah, whatever...
I mean, I don't watch the show, it's dumb, but.... -Her LIST? ...LOVE!!!
1.HOT PINK LIPS ...... 1 WORD: SEXAYYY!
2. SKINNY HEEL PLATFORM HEELS IN INTENSE COLOR .....HELlo!!
This is a girl after my own heart- too bad the dude chose them all and not her.
HE rocks. Especially for those 2.
I just have to add- has nothing to do with TV but, I don't feel like doing another post tonight and i just want to add--
I am still deeply upset about Caylee's body being found. I am still mad about that, like I am still mad about
how FEMA handled the New Orlean's tragedy, hurricaine Katrina---
You suck....
Bye-Bye now
Buh-Bye
Hasta La Vista
And Arsenio says: Hollah!
holla!
Now THIS is breakfast!!!
Skip breakfast too much? Oh! This is real personal–my biggest health problems stem from getting up, getting going, and losing track of the day without breakfast. It affects everything–my thinking, my patience (told you this was personal), my weight, my blood-sugar levels, and more! Here is a great recipe to make up and store away in your freezer for easy freezer meals. Breakfast is only a few minutes away then. Easy, all-in-one, ready-to-go breakfast. No better way to get a good start on your day! Give this one a try!
What You Need:
1 T olive oil
1 Ham steak cut into bite size pieces
2 C frozen southern style hash browns, thawed
8 eggs
1/2 C salsa
1 pkg (6 in size) tortillas
1 C shredded Mexican style cheese
Wax paper
Freezer bags
How to Make It:
Place the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
When hot add the ham and hash browns.
Cook until they are both beginning to brown.
Place the salsa in a large mixing bowl.
Add the eggs and stir until mixed together.
Pour the salsa mixture in with the ham mixture.
Leave heat on medium high and cook until the eggs have set.
Place a tortilla flat.
Place about 4 T of the ham mixture down the center of the tortilla.
Roll the tortilla up completely.
Continue until all the tortillas are used.
Wrap each rollup in wax paper.
Place in a freezer bag and freeze for up to 2 months.
When ready to eat remove from the freezer and unwrap.
Place each rollup on a microwave safe plate and cover with paper towel.
Microwave 2 minutes on high or until the burrito is as heated as you like
Most Americans Pray Every Day, Studies Say- Oh, Really? Could've Fooled Me!
According to The Washington Times, the United States may be a secular nation, but its people are anything but.
In fact, 90 percent of Americans have a spiritual interlude with God every day, according to a new study released last week and covered in The Washington Times....
"Most prayer writers imagine a God who is accessible, listening, and a source of emotional and psychological support, who at least sometimes answers back," said Wendy Cadge, a sociologist who directed the research for Brandeis University. The findings, though, have been supported for years.
In 2004, a survey of more than 31,000 adults released by the National Institutes of Health found that prayer is the most commonly used "alternative medicine." It's even more popular than acupuncture, chiropractic, yoga and vitamins."
It seems to me, if the majority of American's are indeed praying folk, then American's- by and large- must also be
Confused folk- because America by and large is NOT obedient to God!
The all-out assurance of salvation of many folks In America is cause for concern.
Indeed, at any given funeral, you will hear the overseers pontificating about how the deceased is
"Now in Heaven, with the Lord." Yet, we all know that, just because someone has died, that does not
mean that they are With The Lord. The truth of the matter is, many of those souls may be headed to Hell.
This brings forth a call for all of us believers to share the gospel with all of those God has placed in our
sphere of influence, as much as we can, while we still can.
There will come a day when each one of us will indeed die.
I want to know that Dear Folks are headed for Heaven, don't you?
Most American's pray- yet Most Americans Disobey God. Scary!
