Barack Obama has won the Presidency! God has allowed us what we wanted, and we have exercized our free will to elect into he most influential office a man who did not grow up as an American and who was a citizen of Kenya and couldn't even vote up until 2 short years ago, a man who has said that he will protect Pakistan over Israel and will side with the Muslim's if political winds turn for the worst. This is a man who has terrorist friends who funded his campaign for him in Pakistan and Iraq, who knows that our enemies are hiding in Afganistan and wants to 'turn the other cheek and make peace with them and with Iran!." PEACE?? They are our enemies and nee to be dealt with, soon. As Rick Santorum said during the 10/24/08 Debate on the Campaign 2008 Election, C-Span " Iran needs to be dealth with, and they will be, in the next few months- whether by us or by another country. Iran cannot be allowed to get a nuclear weapon."
This is a man who will make partial abortion legal and overturn Roe vs. Wade, to make any and all kinds of abortive procedures accesible to any woman who wants one. This is a man who will allow any couple the legal rights of a marriage union in the U.S. whether they be polygimists or homosexuals, or beastiality perverts, what is next for B.O. : allowing pediphiles to marry their child lovers?? I mean really people, with all the lying this guy does, talking out of both sides of his mouth to both sides, I honestly do not trust a d@m thing this weasel says....

It is not a surprise to many that I don't support B.O. and I never will.

But it may surprise some of you to hear that, although I am not happy to have B.O. as my new president, I am happy about a few things: One being that I am proud of us as a nation for seemingly, finally getting over the race issue. This is our first serious black candidate for the Presidency AND we elcted him President! This is monumental, I don't have to tell you guys that! I am proud to have a black president, though I was not thrilled to hear B.O. compare himself to King, who was a true believer. B.O. invoked our fears as a nation, our grief and distrust of Bush, our anger and our rebellious streak, as well as our
Yankee fighting-spirit. He won the hearts of many with that tactic, and has inspired even more with his promises to be a social, just Public Servant who will change American politic's for the better. That shall remain to be seen.

I was truly shocked to see that AMERICA had voted in a Black President! I think my jaw hit the floor, out of pride and awe and out of shock in a dissapointed and sad way. I cried for McCain because I wanted him to be Pres. I shed a few fervent tearful drops for Obama, because I truly do fear attempts will be made on his life. I prayed that God would protect him and his family. And I beseeched the Lord to have mercy on us as a people and as a nation, and to forgive us all of our sins as we repent over them.

I want to end this post with a prayer for today, the day after elections.
Join me if you have desire.

Dear Lord, thank you that You have promised to protect & take care of Your people; we can rest safely & peacefully under Your wings. You comfort us and collect each tear, Yes, not one slips by You. You have seen & heard us, You will not turn Your face from us and forsake us. We thank you Oh Lord as a nation and as a people. You will complete Your will, as You have declared it, from the beginnings of time. In Jesus' sweet name, Amen.

Hebrews 3:12-13,
"See to it, sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart."

Let us trust in the Lord and have faithin His goodness and His sovereignty today Smiling

"extremist" more like blatent & outright lies. Its fine & dandy if you don't like him, but you should dislike him for REAL reasons, not crap made up by fearmongers

I know you guys- 'sexy'librarian(that's up for grabs,I say-),sashak- it's pretty hard to take anything you two say seriously,so, I won't lose sleep over being "extremist" or a "liar" from POV's such as yours.... BTW, I am No fearmonger- I have an All-So0vereign and Mighty God, who created Allllll that we see, and Allll the people who have ever been- Since He is for me, No-one and Nothing can be against me Eye-wink My viewpoints, expressed above, have Nothing to do with fear- I do dislike his election, I do have no good feelings about what he is going to do in office, and I hope that God uses his presidency to, at the least, show America at large that we are idol-worshippers; self-centered and evil-loving at our core. Is that too extremist for you? Well, too bad. I'm not here to be disrespectful to anyone but, I have my vews and have every right to them just as you have the rights to yours...welcome to American citizenship, ladies!Er, 'ladies' may be a loose term for you two, too--just based upon your actions, comments and reputation 'round theses parts ---- lol Eye-wink

Ohhhh My.... Gaw.... !... MUDiva, that is TRULY disturbing!

Methinks that the 2 birds of a feather above should check out this blog too.... what a scary, scary Messiah complex has been created for this man. He is just a man, people!!! That's right, just a man. He will be the Pres. for as long as the REAL God wants him to be, and he will accomplish what this world wants him to accomplish-and I highly doubt we will be proud of ourselves when we see what we have accomplished by supporting him.

You do remember who God is, don't you,'sexy'librarian? The one who DID create Heaven and Earth, and the one who WILL make that final decision that will superseed any earthly leader's decisions? Yeah, THAT guy, HE is the I AM not BO!....

I want to choose my words carefully here because my intent is not to offend. However, many of your statements are untrue: there are actually pictures of President Obama and his whole family voting several years ago on the Huffington Post website so your claim that he could not vote until recently is false. He also has a strong record for wanting to focus on Afghanistan, and during his first presidential press meeting he denounced Iran's nuclear activity as unacceptable. I see no real evidence of his "lying", but I do know that Senator McCain did make claims that his policies would not back up. Two prime examples: he projects a sympathy for the middle class yet he planned to leave the tax rates as they currently are (for the wealthy) while still lowering them for major corporations. His health care plan also provided $5,000 tax breaks for health insurance coverage that costs $12,000. His economic policies would only have been more of the same ineffective practices that led our country to the financial mess that we are currently in.

There will always be people who turn admiration into unhealthy devotion. I know over ambitious people who idolize President Bush or Gov. Palin. 54 million people voted President Obama into office. He is no more responsible for the creator of that website than Senator McCain is responsible for the racist men who desired to assassinate President Obama in the name of John McCain. Ultimately these people are the only ones who can be held accountable for their actions.

I realize that this election has stratified the country along many lines, religion being one of the most poignant. The truth is that God did not endorse either candidate. Many Christians feel more drawn to the Republican party because of their stance on gay marriage, but the truth is that both Obama and Biden are against gay marriage (http://lesbianlife.about.com/od/lesbianactivism/p/BarackObama.htm) I find no reason to believe that God would be more pleased with either President Bush or Senator McCain. In the last eight years this country has seen a steady decline in wealth and prestige, and President Bush has the lowest approval ratings of any president in the last six decades (beating out Nixon and Hoover) so I don't think many Americans are presently "proud of what we've accomplished" by supporting him! No man is perfect, and no president will be perfect. Until Christ returns to rule the earth I do not think any one can determine who is God's appointed leaders or not.

As a proud Christian I will pray with you for our nation, our president-elect, and our current president- that will never change. God bless.

jemison, I just wrote out a long, 5 paragraph response to your comment but it didn't go through, so now I am annoyed and I am just going to hit the main points again, very breifly-LOl!!

1. I said that BO has not voted but for 2-3 ears ago for the first time; the HP pics prob. celebrate his 1st time voting as a UC Citizen.

2.BO has said recently that he is against Afganistan yet he votes any way he has to to protect Pakistan. So, whatever he has to do to protect Pakistan, he will. He has also still refused to deal with Iran, even though they are as we speak trying to develop nuclear weapons to attack the US with. The US has not defended itself against Iran yet even though they have been our enemy for years, but since the terrorist events of 9/11 & the teroorist events since, Iran has promised to develop nuclear weapons and attack us. They must be dealt with, and as former PA senator Rick Santorum said on 10/24/08, we must deal with them or another country will- possibly France. Iran is a threat and BO will not DO ANYTHING to adress that threat. He SAY'S that he is not for Afganistan and he SAY'S that he is not for Iran, but he does nothing to back up his words. We all know that BO has plenty of useless words that are empty or blatant lies so we cannot trust him. I want to see "More than words..."

3. I have posted many times the list of BO's lies, you can look those posts up and the works citted to get that info. if you want to see it...

4. I also disagreed with MC Cain's health care plan, we know that the offset of 5k will not be an offset of any proportion for us as a family of 5 who pays for our own health insurance already along with my husband's company, but we still voted for Mc Cain because we would rather continue paying with his company for our own health insurance with a measly 5k throwback than have BO as our President.

5. The DEM's caused the financial mess that we are in, and Congress and the House are letting them die in the grave they dug. Every time they try to shovel this mess over the lines into the REBUB's territory, the REPUB's shovel it right back across their line and onto the DEM's property, where it belongs. As time unfolds, all will see how the DEM's made this mess....

6. I never said that BO was responsible for ppl. thinking he is the next Savior, though he sure does make suggestions in his props and words and mannerism's in his speeches to suggest it, doesn't he? I sure as heck never said that John McCain wanted BO assasinated, so WHAT exactly are you putting in quaotes here??
You sure as heck do not have anything to quote along those lines, so now your just making up lies to support your case against me.
Read it again- I said that KKK groups and cronies of KKK groups would like to off him, NOT McCain. Neither I, nor McCain, has ever said that and if you look at McCain's personal life AND his voting history, you will see that your words are bullhookey- he is not a racist, never has been and he does not want to off BO- he has said that he actually wants to work with BO as much as he can to try and help the US from BO running it unchecked, as he plans to do by putting 2-3 more DEM's in both the House AND the Senate, making them fully DEM controlled. Unheard of since Roosevelt!

7. The truth is that God would endorse a certain candidiate- if God was here to vote and if He voted- He would NOT have EVER voted for BO. If you can honestly say that you are a Christian and that you cannot see why God would not have voted for BO, then I can say with no qualms that you are either not a true believer, and you are just decieved, and you are deluded by your what own mind believes is true, by the world, and by satan- the great deciever.
A true believer could never, ever vote for Obama- he stands for too much that is the opposite of what God stands for.

8. You said that "Many Christians feel more drawn to the Republican party because of their stance on gay marriage, but the truth is that both Obama and Biden are against gay marriage". This is untrue, BO is NOT against gay marriage. Both Obama and McCain SAY that they are against gay marriage and abortion, yet Obama votes that states should have the right to decide who may be married and if abortion should be legal in that state, and he also wants to make partial abortion legal across the board. McCain says NO across the board to homosexual marriage rights, and then votes that each state should decide if abortion is ok or not. A true Christian would vote NO to both across the board, every Pres. acts like they have no right to tell the American ppl. what to do, well YES they do, They are the Pres. of the US, they NEED to tell us what to do!- STAND UP & DO YOUR JOB, PRESIDENT'S- If your true believers say NO to abortion and gay marriage FOR EVERY STATE!!

9. No doubt that many Christians, and others, who voted for Bush are sorry they did so. I sat in awe myself that so many Christian's turned out in droves to vote for Bush- I think it was clear that he is not a true believer, orhe is deluded by his own mind and culture into thinking that he truly is when he is so clearly not, and I think that his actions proved that to be true.

10. You said : "I don't think many Americans are presently "proud of what we've accomplished" by supporting him!" WHO are you quoting here??? Again, I NEVER SAID THIS. Either you are making stuff up to support your case, or you need to go back and re-learn when and how to use quotations....

11. No kidding that no man is perfect. Nor could he ever be.
But your WRONG that I cannot know, as a believer, if a man should be President or not. One of the many gifts Gos gives a believer is DISCERNMENT. Because the HS lives in me, I can DISCERN a man or woman by their fruit and know if they are a believer or not- "You WILL know them, by their fruit." That is what God says to believer's: we WILL KNOW. So, I do know- I look at BO's fruit( his Christian fruit or lack thereof and actions, do they line up with God's will or not?)- and I KNOW if he is a Christian, or not. AND OBAMA is NO CHRISTIAN.

12. As for your last 2 sentances, you already know how I feel about your being a proud Christian. I believe that you are deluded by your own mind's ideas of right and wrong, fooled by culture and decieved by satan into believing that you are a true Christian. Maybe you are saved, I do not know, but you are clearly not obeying God and keeping in His will, and since you are decieved then it is safe to say that you are not grounded in the truth, you are not reading your bible everyday and making sure that you are grounded in the truth.
